Let’s Talk Stress
Stress is normal and is an inevitable human reaction that happens to everyone. The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. When you experience changes or challenges, your body produces physical and mental responses. Hello stress!
While stress can be positive, keeping us alert and motivated, it can be to blame for so much more than you think. That irritating headache, that annoying breakout, your frequent insomnia or your decreased productivity at work. It is what we do with the stress that is key.
Five Strategies for Stress Relief Right Now:
Regular physical activity - It's cliché for a reason but exercise really does prompt your body to release feel-good hormones, which can help you to feel less stressed.
Take a moment to Breathe - when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax.
Eat healthy - A healthy diet can help counter the impact of stress by shoring up the immune system and lowering blood pressure.
Make time for hobbies - Having a hobby can not only provide an outlet for stress but also give you something to look forward to after a hard day.
Gratitude - at the end of each day take a moment to think about all the things you have accomplished, not what you didn’t get done. Focus on the good stuff!
Stress is natural, normal and in all of our lives. Hopefully you can use these tips to curb some of the stress and know you are doing better than you think! Hope you have a fantastic week!
